The Moisture Meter Does Not Lie

When we start a water damage job we have to make sure we follow the right procedure. When the job starts we need to take moisture readings to see how wet the surface is. When we initially went in our moisture meters read 999 which in other words means that the walls were saturated. We brought in our SERVPRO equipment and left it running for more than one day. With this type of moisture it is best that the equipment stay running to ensure that the area dries completely. After the days of drying, the meter now reads 'dry' with a meter showing 107. This number was significantly decreased post equipment running. We follow strict guidelines to assure customer satisfaction. The machines may be discomforting with their nose, but they sure do get the job done.
